Spent the evening with Australian forum members in Sydney at a DIY workshop, you have the use of all machines at the workshop for the rate of $22 per hour the first hour and then reducing (roughly 9 pounds per hour)
Some of the famous and expensive names of machinery are available to use, there is no membership fee or any tution only the machines made available for use.
If moderators allow I will quote the names and type of machines made available.

Around 10 Sydney member of the Australian forum turned out.

Haven't seen anything like this in the UK.

It would be a nice idea, and certainly in some countries like Sweden I've heard of shops like this. The difficulty is always insurance as well as the need to employ a "competent person". How do the Ozzies cope with that?
