If you don't have one, here's a download of the manual, --

Possibly better as a single phase. and better if you were more centrally located as moving it on will be costly.
I'd stick with the 275, nice saws they were in so many colleges etc.
Can't find any Wadkin AGS for sale for a guide.

A Wadkin 10AGS for 200 pounds sounds like a real bargain if it is in reasonably good condition.

I do not know which saw is better. I don't have enough experience of the AGS to say anything more that that they look well made and I have never seen a Startrite 275.

I have an AGS 10 and it is a good saw. £200 sounds like a bargain. However if I already had a decent saw that was doing what i needed of it I would not buy the wadkin. Even if you sold it for double it would be a lot of messing around with heavy saws (in and out of vans, through doorways etc.) for not a great deal of money. As for which is better, they both do the same thing and are both "properly" built machines. Sometimes a bargain should be passed because you do not need the item, or so I keep having to tell myself.

In answer to your actual question I paid £350 for the wadkin a couple of years ago

Search on the bay "wadkin" and hit sold items. You can normally gauge then.

You know you want that bit of wadkin in your life though.
