Two Pens From The Cold Shed!!

Hi all had to go in the shed and get cold to finish two pen kits, one slimline gun metel, wood is Yew, finish is sanding sealer two coats, friction polish two coats, ren wax two coats, the other one is a roller clip, wood is Pau Rosa same finish, not to sure about the shape on the clip end but does fit nice in the hand!! comments good or bad please.

nice pens john and a good fit too, try a bit of segmenting sometime to add interest to the body of the pens for a different look.
like the look of the roller clip, where did you get it from, looks a lot like the european round top, and is the centre band turned onto the top section?
looks great anyhow..

Great job. You have finished the pens well. Looks like you have hit the slippery slope as i did. Pen making can get very addictive, you've been bitten !!!!!!!!

Stevebuk, I think its the Round Top 7mm 24k from Turners-Retreat.
The wood is turned down so the centre band fits snug with a little ca to make sure!!
Segmenting is another world may someday.
Will try some kits from The Turners Workshop, web site looks good, many thanks of your help and tips.
