Yesterday evening a mate rang me and said he'd just got a new dog and would I come round to take a look and give my opinion. I said I knew nothing about dogs but he insisted and dangled the promise of a beer or two.
So round I went and sure enough, there was this beautiful young German Shepherd, about 6 months old.
'Lovely dog,' I said, 'but I'm not sure why you wanted me to look at him. I know nothing about dogs.'
'Oh,' says my mate. 'I didn't want you to look at him. I wanted him to look at you.'
Turning to the dog and pointing at me he says, 'Take a good look at this bloke. This is what you'll end up looking like if you keep licking yourself.'
