Trend dado jig, has anyone used one?

I was about to order ply to make an adjustable dado jig but when I added up the cost it came to the best part of £90.
If I had money I'd probably go mad and buy the Woodpecker jig but came across the Trend one.
Does anyone have any experience with it?

The woodpecker one looks good but dare say expensive.



Having seen the trend vari jig Trend VARIJIG Adjustable Frame & Guide System I did think the connectors were rather delicate, so this new one really needs to be seen in order to evaluate before buying.

The Trend seems a little limiting with a max length of 400mm. Whilst the Woodpecker are over $400 as opposed to around £100 for the Trenc, at 600mm or 800mm, Woodpecker seem more useful.

Definitely more useful but too expensive for me
