I bought a saw in October. I'm having so much fun with it!

By the way, lovely work!!

It's the Ghostbusters sign for me, superb all of your work. How do you paint your work, really excellent finishes.

I have to admit the painting has been more challenging than the sawing. It's been a huge learning curve.
Biggest lesson I learn it that there is a huge difference between "touch dry" and "completely dry". And don't work with anything till it's completely dry even if it takes three days.
The fox is just wood stain and yacht varnish.
Route 66 is a rattle can from homebase for the grey and normal artistic acrylic paints with a varnish top coat
Campervan is Rust-Oleum's painters touch and lots of sanding. It's okay stuff but I'm not using it again.
Cant remember what the cup of tea was. A small tin of furniture paint from home-base I think and varnish top coat.
"Something for the mantelpiece" is a very small amount of black ink airbrushing around the edges to make the letters pop and a ton of yacht varnish.
Ghostbusters is Rust-Oleum's Painters Touch and so is the Liver Bird but with a pool of yacht varnish on the red.
The cow is just acrylic paint with a matt varnish
I didn't have wood stain for the dog so I used watered down acrylics and a varnish. Looks okay but a bit plasticy.

Future endeavours that need paint that looks like enamel is going to be proper enamel. 1-shot is a pain in the backside to use and more than likely will give me cancer, but it looks really good.

Hi Puckle,
Some great stuff, like the V W and the Ghostbusters. What saw did you use and where do you get your patterns from???It is my intention to get into scrolling this year as I have been watching others on here for some months now and its time to take the plunge.

Peter.

Hi, My saw is a Excalibar EX-30, my patterns are all my own, produced in CoralDraw and cut out on a vinyl cutter. More stencil than pattern really :)
