I am re-fitting an old river boat and planing to instal new lockers (cupboards). The structure is exterior ply and I want to frame the cupboard doors with hardwood (oak) to hide the edges. My plan was to produce the framing from strips of planned oak, e.g. from a 3/4" x 3/4" section to route out 1/2" x 1/2" to leave an "L" shaped section (rounded first on the corners). However I can see that it is going to be a little tricky to support the workpiece on the Router Table, unless perhaps I make a series of shims to receive the section on the out feed side - probably several different sizes since I don't expect to cut this much as a single pass. Is there a trick I am missing or another way to do this?
