The teak came from Ghana and I happen to have an awful lot of it.
It was a shipment that was never collected and had sat in a warehouse for many years.
It's not perfect and there is a lot of flawed wood but what I do get out of it is beautiful and once I retire, when my house eventually sells, I'll try to make a bit of money out of making things like this.
The finish, under the top, is varnish but I couldn't get the top looking good and eventually cut back and have used wax.
