I've seen in the past a way of making a Tambour / roll- top type of screen with a wobbly jig-saw type of joint. Does anyone know who makes these cutters ? thanks Geoff

Look, I have just been reminded in another thread about the Festool Domino machine.

Now you present me with this cool gadget as well !!!! :x

Thanks Mike...those are the ones. I thought I'd seen them somewhere. As you say a bit pricey, although nearly twice as much on Amazon !

Geoff_S....I'm Geoff S as well. The Domino is essential !

Oh, it's called a tambour, is it?
I've only ever known that to be a drum (with a tambourine being the variant with bells on).

I've always fancied making a rolltop sort of thing for a desk or a box, but planned to fix the slats to some leather straps, or something. This sliding-jigsaw-dovetaily joint method looks really cool, too.

Could you do the same thing with a combination plane, or a set of hollows and rounds, perhaps? Might take longer but be cheaper?
