Looks familiar... not made quite that much mess at home yet, but I can easily fill a 50 litre sack after a few hours with the planer/thicknesser.

At work, you know it's time to clean up when you can no longer walk behind the machine... seen (and cleaned-up) 3 feet of sawdust behind a CNC router...

I find myself wondering whether you could have sawn away some of the excess?

No that was not possible

the beam's i run through the planner were about 15 cm to be reduced to 14 cm

I wanted to buy square beams/post with measurements of 14 by 14 by that was going to be very very costly so i opted for lamination (also much stronger)

Using the planner is simmilar to using a thicknesser so all sides are now perfectly square
