Can you still get belts for the K5 and is tooling available for the spindle?

You can use poly vee belts running on their backs as a very good substitute for flat belts. I've got an earlier KITY spindle from a ck26 combi and that takes standard 30mm tooling so yours should too.

Thanks I'll keep a look out for spindle tools.
Where would I get an Adjusting wheel for the thicknesses as it is missing on the machine I have bought.
Is the a way of improvising or making a wheel?

My opinion as an engineer is that you do not want to improvise. Using something that appears to fit and yet is not the correct fit will wear the end of the shaft and then you will be in real trouble. I would make an adaptor to convert say to a common hexagon and weld that onto the shaft. Then use a hex socket and embed that in a handwheel.
