Sketch-up on Linux

Anyone here successfully implemented Google Sketch-up on Linux ? I can only see a Windows version on the download page. I'm on Ubuntu 10.4, but could upgrade to a later version if necessary..

You need wine!
go to your software centre, search for wine, install it. Then in theory you can run any windows progs.

I've tried Wine before, it wouldn't run anything that actually mattered... Mind you that was a couple of years ago, it's probably improved since then.

Sketchup works well in Ubuntu under Wine ...

same here. so i just tried it. downloaded and installed alright https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Wine# ... mmended.29
and launched, chose template but now get 'wrong driver for graphics card'. so a little investigating required for me
but worth a go methinks.

Thanks, installed and running - it was available on 'WineTricks' (which I hadn't seen before), worked first time.
