reckon it will take a while to de-nail

this is half of the load as it is being dismantled in 2 halves

my brother is too lazy to measure but looking at that bit of decking board slung amongst pile i reckon some of it is about 12 x 3
most of it will be ash ...so not lightweight

Steve

after meet at Dr Bob's I may attempt to rebuild my kitchen with some of it

Was this part of that wood roofing haul you were talking about earlier in the year?

thats the stuff

i am far from looking forward to collecting \ storing this
but sometimes u know it will never come along again

When you come to cleaning up that little lot, think about the nails, and borrow the tools and planer from someone else!

(Not mine btw :D )

collection in the morning
kidney belt
chainsaw
hand saw
petrol
goggles
gloves
hammer
metal detector

i have to cut some of these :(

i got a 13 foot lorry i borrowed
some timbers are 16 foot

with cut and wastage i wont get 2 x 8 foot

i don't have a use for them yet, so i don't know what to do

cut at 9 ? or the full 13 ?

i guess they will be heavy so the 9 will be lighter to lift (no help to lift)

any thoughts?

i can always use the offcuts to practice bowl turning or some spindles (might make some chairs  )

Steve

I'm glad you're able to save some / most of it. I'm still really interested in some of this - I guess it might be worth looking into pallet / courier costs.
