Anybody heard of sioo wood protection? I'm researching it as an alternative to oil or natural weathering for cedar cladding. It bleaches the wood and supposedly the protection lasts 10 years. Seems too good to be true. Silva timber sell it.
I don't like how weathered cedar looks after a few years - it looks amazing as it starts to silver, but ends up like scaffold planks! Oil (like osmo) is better, but even the clear uv oil is a bit orangey. SIOO sounds like the solution but I wonder are their claims a bit ambitious. Would love to hear from someone with experience here.
Cheers
