Well I managed to get some more done to the shoe rack/cabinet. In between other jobs I have added the cornice:

I have also fitted a secret drawer to the bottom:

Well not so secret now is it?
I have added the face frame and some moulding to the bottom and trim on the front corners:

I may have time tomorrow to make a start on the door too. :D Now that should keep me in good books with SWIMBO.

Nice job Mailee.
Made one for a client once, it was a bit wider and they walked(hiked) a lot, so they asked me to put an open grill on the back, then they placed it in front of a radiator and they put their boots and socks in there to dry out, would have thought it wouldn't do the shoe leather much good.
Oh, and it had a copper tray at the bottom to catch water drips.
Just a couple of ideas.

Dom

Thanks Dom, and thanks for the idea. I have added a piece of laminated ply in the bottom just in case of any drips but the tray sounds a good idea. :D
