Set up for Posable Hose on the lathe

Has anyone got a set up on the lathe for the above, I'd be interested to see the methods you guys are using.

I have one of these attached to a short section of 4” ducting.

The ducting has a magnetic strap that allows me to hold it to the lathe bed or othe metal shelf fittings.

In use, when I am ready to sand (or using a scraper on really dry timber) I remove the tool rest, and attach the tube+hose to the banjo with the magnet, then attach the flexible 4” hose from my extractor to the tubing, then position the stay-put tubing so that is is within a coulpe of inches of what I am sanding.

I use the Axminster Stayput hose, clipped loosely to a board behind the lathe, and with a hose joiner for 100mm flexy hose on the end. When I need extraction, I simply shove the flexy hose onto the hose joiner, position the stayput as required and away I go. The home-made loose clip keeps the stayput where I want it, but allows movement back and forth along the workpiece and lathe bed.
I don't generally use the hose for turning, just for for sanding or when turning a particularly dusty wood.

Thank you for your suggestion, both good ideas but I should have mentioned that the posable hose I'm using is from Toolpost and it consist to what I can only describe as knuckle joints.
I've been playing in the workshop this morning and have come up with Mark 1, I'll post later. I can't remember but I think it's based on something I've seen on the internet but can't remember where.

I made a wooden plug to reduce the diameter of the 100mm pipe...

Stewart I guess mine is similar except that I attach mine to the lathe bed and I have 21/2" direct;y pff the dedicated dust detractor.
Having it fixed to the bed allows me to position how I want it while sanding inside/outside bowls etc, it is also easy to remove if I need to use the tailstock.
Below is some pic's of my prototype.

I'm sure as I use this more fine adjustment will take place.

My version made from 2-1/2" (63mm) rainwater fittings & a plastic sweet jar.

Ready for use with a shop vac.

Should have removed the cup chuck from the lathe spindle because it looks like it's part of the pipework. it isn't.
The bottle has nearly half cut out of the side & the lid is hot melt glued onto the pipe.
