Seasoning Laburnum

I have been given some large trunk section of laburnum (some up to 12 inch diameter in 3 foot lengths). I would like to convert them into turning blanks. I would appreciate any peer advice on converting and seasoning this timber. I have a suitable chainsaw for this operation and have supplies of end sealing wax.

The heartwood is extremely durable. Old logs lying about outside for years will lose all the sapwood to rot but the heart may still be good. So basically it's easy, just keep it as long as poss, in the dry if you want the sapwood too.

Keep in as long a length as possible, either whole or split down the middle, reducing any end split losses to a minimum.
As Jacob says whatever you do keep it dry and do not leave it exposed to wet such as rain, the pale sapwood will rot rapidly and become the home of numerous little critters if it is.
