In general I am very pleased with my saw which I bought about a year ago. I rarely use it but lately when I start sawing the trailing wedge which keeps the cut open is not in line. I have to stop sawing, push the metal wedge into the cut and then continue sawing. Can anyone suggest a remedy please

The wedge is called the 'riving knife'. The knife should be attached by a bolt at the top. Try slacking that off and adjusting it and re-tighten. Either it is bent and needs replacing or is just loose and needs setting back in and tightening.

The manual probably has something to say about it...

I bought the Scheppach about a year ago too. This is the first time I realize it didn't come with a riving knife (!)

Worth contacting Scheppach? Surely by law they should fit one?
