Well not quite, as my birthday is 4 days before Christmas. This year I actually had a wish list thanks to having taken up woodworking during 2016 and wanting to add to my tool selection- I'm guessing it never ends?!
So two new hand stitched raps from Workshop Heaven have arrived (No. 8 and 3) and they seem to be working well. Having only used a cheap machine cut rasp before I'm pleased with the finish they leave. No. 3 then 240 grit sandpaper has worked well finishing some round overs, and the No. 8 seems to make its way through wood quite well.
Oh, also a Crown burnisher to replace the screwdriver I was using...can't report yet, as I've only just started scraping.
Thanks to Matthew at WH for the recommendation of rasp cut; I'll have to wait and see what arrives on the 25th!
