Don't forget that the NHS also runs a lot of other health services, including children and young people. I really can't remember all the details (it's several years since I worked on it) but they have been involved for some time. They have access to communities and groups that other agencies don't.

Undoubtedly the NHS should have the aim of improving the nation's health, the stated aim of this particular trust in the report that I read, but if this trust works a 'post code lottery' or rations drugs or treatment in any way they are gonna have a rough ride that's for sure!
