7" tall x 3" max. diameter. Made from a particularly awkward piece of apple. I had to leave it fairly thick as one of the knots was becoming very loose so it was either play safe or lose it altogether. The collar is pewter, turned and textured.

Thank you. It's one of those pieces that is great to pick up and handle with your eyes closed. A trick I learned from a blind turner years ago. Good way of feeling for the sanding and tool marks as well. I have a few more in the pipeline which I'll post when done.

Now why does that not surprise me!!

Another one of those pieces that has a load of natural character without being pretentious or needing a whole dialogue of explanation.
 
I really like this piece too Pete, the silver cap adds a very classy finish.
