I've just purchased a second hand record RPMS - R and to be frank I'm a little disappointed . In particular the fence is a little rubbish and the cross slide clamp down is flimsy , if you screw a peice of wood down hard it lifts the fence up and pushes the wood out of square.
What mods have other people done to combat these faults ?
I made a big timber sub fence on the cross slide which helps abit , but I don't think still with this the table would take a big bit of wood .
As for the fence I was going to make a new one to sit on the top with ply .
Interested to see if anyone has made any decent modifications as the actual cast table and cross slide seem really good quality .
