Hi all.
I am in need of a good hollowing tool and thinking seriously about the Rolly Munro. Does anyone have one and can you tell me how small a hole you can get it through and still work under the shoulder ?

Paulm has that system Graham. He lent it to me for a deep natural edge bowl a while back and I got on very well with it. I saw them in Toolpost shortly after that and it wasn't cheap I can tell you....little change out of £200

I also cant give you the dimensions because Paul has it back now....he'll probably see this and chime in.

Hi Guys,

Just taking a break from cutting up bits of wood in the workshop ! I haven't actually used it in the way you describe Graham, so hesitate to give you what might be a misleading measurement, but I could measure the max diameter of the business end if that s what you are after or would help ?

I recall there were two models of the tool also, a smaller version and larger, I think the one I have is the larger one.

Might be worth giving Peter Helmsley a ring at the Toolpost or popping in as it looks pretty local to you ?

Cheers, Paul

Just had a look at mine and the maximum diameter of the head I would say is 20mm if that helps?

Cheers, Paul
