Sorry if this is a silly question. Is a door right or left handed when viewing it from the back ( hinges to the left ).It opens inwardly to the left and if you come in from the outside to the right. Confused ? I am ! Geoff
from http://www.woodweb.com/knowledge_base/D ... doors.htmlOpen the door and put your butt up to the butt hinges. If the door is at your left, it is a left hand door
I was slightly confused when I asked the question..after reading the woodweb discussion I have upgraded that to to totaly confused.wcndave":9r2zkyj9 said:from http://www.woodweb.com/knowledge_base/D ... doors.htmlOpen the door and put your butt up to the butt hinges. It still depends on whether the door opens in or out.I have been a joiner for over 30 years and have always done the handing of a door by looking at the butt side.
