Simple but very nice - thanks.

I have some neodim... erm... neodi... neodiddlyum magnets somewhere but I'm worried they may be a bit too strong. A larger (weaker) magnet like he uses is probably a better choice.
 
Another cheap possibility is an LED panel light.
They come in various sizes. The bigger, the more LEDs & the higher the wattage.
Eg, 12w = 175mm square, 15w = 200mm square, 18w = 225mm square, 24w = 300mm square.

Just made an adjustable carrier for mine so that I can position it anywhere it's needed.
