A friend has managed to damage his speaker by dropping it on the corner...

Any thoughts on how to repair? Will he need a full replacement of the veneer? Approximate commercial cost?

He is in that London...with a glum face!

Ouch, probably the worst corner as well.

Can Proac help? replacement cabinet?

If you could find some Cherry veneer that matches its possible to make a good repair.

Yes, that's what I thought...ouch!

He wants a cheapish job and he's been quoted £180...if that's to re-veneer I don't reckon that's too bad (for that London!)

I would get in touch with Proac as said. Just incase there is any unseen internal damage. The price you pay for Proac you will want it done correctly.

£180 sounds very very good, most people in London won't get out of bed for £180. if the job is done well. either that or a nice lace doily overhanging the edge.
