Renting time in a workshop?

Not sure if this is the right place for this...but here goes.

I've been reading about some stuff online (seems to be mainly places in the US) where people can pay per hour / monthly for a membership to a workshop where they get access to the tools and what not that the workshop has.

I was just wondering if there is any place in the UK that offers something similar?

Typical descriptors are 'business incubators', 'start up support unit', or 'pay as you go' workshops. The technical support, equipment available, including heavy plant, and the power and hand tools varies quite a bit from one place to another. If there are any hand tools they're not always in great shape. That's generally down to them being common or shared tools that everyone abuses and no-one looks after properly, either because the technicians don't know how, or have got fed up of fixing (for the umpteenth time) tools that have been mistreated by a user ... yet again, ha, ha. I'll shop around a little. The main stuff I am after either too big to fit in the space I have or too expensive for me to just outright buy.

Totally understandable for the technicians getting sick of fixing something repeatedly.
