I noticed Eric that you mentioned using a Maplin remote switching relay to switch your DX in the other thread. I've got one ready to install too (slightly different, and it's key fob operated: http://www.maplin.co.uk/two-channel-wir ... -kit-46972) , and am deliberating as to whether it's likely to be reliable or not.
Have you or anybody else heard anything, or had any experience of these units - or like me are you hoping for the best?
My set up has an inverter driving the 220V 3phase fan motor on a Pentz cyclone - for the relay to start/stop it it's a matter of wiring it into a jumper/wire running between two of its control terminals.
The plan is to install it in parallel with a rocker switch, and to place both in an easily reached wall mounted surface box so that there will always be a manual control option available anyway. It'd be nice to have a reliable remote capability though....
