OK, I am selling my Record DMD24A but please read this first.
It was manufactured in 1999 but over the last few years it developed a problem.
It will quite happily drill away but then for no apparent reason the chuck and metal taper thing will drop out! I've tried everything to stop this
happening by re inserting the taper, winding it up etc etc.
The other problem is that I lost the original chuck key, and no matter where I've searched, I cannot find one that fits. I now use a screwdriver and fulcrum to lock it up!
Anyway, prior to me finding this excellent forum, where I am sure there is someone with the solution that I could never find, I gave up and bought a new Axminster drill when
I had rather a lot to do.
So, before I take this down to the recycling, does anyone want to pick it up. I dunno, £30.00? I am postcode KT4 which is Worcester Park, Surrey.
