Hello,

Between coats of hardwax oil, I like to use 400grit wet & dry with White Spirit.

However, the grit has a tendency to part from the backing. This leaves black specs on the work that I then have to remove.

Any recommendations welcomed for wet & dry brand/types that might avoid this happening?

Many thanks

(So far I've only been using the cheap wet & dry from Screwfix, Toolstation. I've also tried nylon type pads but these don't seem to do such a good job)

Thank-you, that's the sort of pointers I was after. I'll try some Abracs branded wet & dry, sold by an engineering supplies outfit on the bay. Thanks again,
