Help. My husband kindly lent me his Leytool hand drill, and I've managed to disassemble the drill chuck (it's taken me 40 minutes to discover that's what it's called). There is a tiny spring, a small plate with a circular bit sticking up and the three parts that hold the bit. I can't get them all back together inside the external holder part. Any ideas?

Does that make any sort of sense???

Thank you.

Hi

There are usually 3 springs that go in holes between the jaws, the circular bit goes with the flat side to the jaws.
Assemble the jaws and springs and put them into the outer part of the chuck, push the circular plate in and screw the end piece in to the chuck.

It's fiddly - I normally need 2 or 3 goes to get them together. I normally work on an old tray (with raised edges...) when handling small pieces, springs, ball bearings etc.

If they fall off the bench, it's game over.
