Random orbital sanding

This may be a daft question but can I wet sand with my metabo ROS?

I have some oil to pore full with. It would be handy to be able to do it with the sander rather than by hand.

I do it, but with a Mirka Ceros. (which I also use to wet sand finishes).
I have a dedicated backer pad just for this application, as it will get ruined.
Be prepared to go through LOTS of discs too.
You may find that as the oil gums up on the pad, it really highlights the swirl marks left behind by a ROS.

My advice would be to try it on scrap.

Might just do it by hand then. I don't need to do it often enough to warrant another pad- probably more effort than it saves for a weekend warrior!
