For anyone who fancies a go at pyrography - Lidl are selling a pyrography tool for 8.99 this week - it works fine, and has 15 different bits with it.

Thanks for the heads up, picked one up at lunchtime. Will try it for writing on the bottom of bowls and the like.

Couldn't find any of the digital calipers though unfortunately that I think are also on offer.

The sort of work that is coming up on the forum there is nothing to laugh at. Amazing quality. Decorated work of all sorts seems to have really taken off lately.

I think they're on offer next week (19-8-10) if I'm reading the website correctly. Have found a local Lidl so I may have to take trip there next week

That's correct Blister. If you want to go further the 'hot wire' version is the way to go, BUT I ain't knocking the ones on offer here, because it can get you on the way.

After all, my 1st lathe was a Wolf drill driven jobbie!!
