Plywood finishing advice

This has been asked before but I couldn't really find a definitive answer.

I would like to apply finish two projects made of birch plywood, a chest of draws and a desk, to protect it and also darken it a little.

I do like Osmo products but I can't seem to find one that will work.

Any suggestions of Osmo or other products that will work well for this?

When you say won’t work, what do you mean? It’s not high build enough? Tints too light?
