Looking for a little advice on what to finish the Base with, its untreated T&G and will be carpeted. The Supports are pressure treated but I was going to coat them as well. These will sit on sacrificial bearers that are pressure treated and will get a coat of something too.

Also I was going to use Sadalins superdec for the outside but might be able to get discount on dulux brands so would sikkens be a good alternative ? From what I can make out its a sprayed finish but I'll be hand painting.

Any feed back would be greatly appreciated :)

I'm treating all the components of mine with Sovereign clear preservative which I'm advised is compatible with water based and oil based finishes. BUT they recommend that treated surfaces which will come into contact with hands/bare legs etc are covered or overcoated- in other words I'm painting the inside as well as the outside. FWIW I'm using Ronseal Garden paint since the 'client' has specified purple for the outside, while the inside will be white.

Just two liberal coats on all pieces once cut to length before putting the bits together.

Any help?
