From 1984 today I've been doing architectural door documentation for some very large projects around Australia. Providing a spread sheet with a single line entry for each door. Basically describing the door and it's hardware (type of hinges and the number required etc.). Some hardware items were designed from scratch and made with the assistance of those with skill, just to fill gaps and sometimes to solve architectural problems. I've concluded that for light 35mm doors PIVOT DOORS IN DRYWALL CAN BE MUCH CHEAPER THAN HINGED DOORS. You just need to be brave. For hollow doors a pivot can be a10mm dimeter stainless bolt with the head cut off and a few washers.
