I want to replace an existing bulklight with a PIR floodlight.

By 'eck, there's a lot of makers, none of whom I recognise, some cheap,
some dear.

EDIT
Looks like "Steinel" are the Rolls Royce of PIR floodlights - VERY pricy
/EDIT

Any recommendations?

I will ask my mate he just fitted two LED ones very bright and low wattage.

My bil works for a large electrical co. and he told me a while ago that they did their best not to fit them as they were so unreliable irrespective of cost. This seems to be my experience - I had a cheap one fail inside a year and another cheap working faultlessly after ten years. One seemingly good observation of his was to fit a separate lamp and sensor - you don't have to replace the whole thing when the sensor fails, and also it can be sited better - you don't neccessarily want the sensor and the lamp in the same place.

Edit - he was speaking of halogen, not LED, but the other point's still valid.
