Thought that at this time of year, I'd share a story with a happy ending with you all. Hope it brings some warmth and joy at this most festive of seasons.
Anyway, a while back we managed to pick up an old stray on holiday in Devon. He'd obviously been neglected and abused and was in a right state. Makes me angry thinking about it to be honest. Anyway after the kids went on at me for long enough I caved in and we brought him home with us. I could tell when I looked at him he was goodun under all that mess. Sometimes you need to look past the initial appearance.
My lad has called him Miami and he loves to wind him up a bit. I was a bit worried at first because he's only 5 and as I say, Miami's a big lump, but in the end all was well and thankfully if anything, everything's a bit tighter now he's around.
Now, the Mrs has a good heart but she wouldn't have him in the house and to be honest I don't blame her. He's a big lump and he was filthy. So up till now he's been living out in the shed.
I got some advice from the internet, we couldn't afford to take him to a specialist tbh, so I spent a little time caring for him and it's paid off. He looks a treat now. Funny enough, he loves a bit of the old salt and vinegar and a good rub.
Anyway, finished cleaning him up today and I thought you might like to see some photos! Hes brought a few things together here already. We're pretty tight.
Remember! They're for Life! Not just for Christmas! If you can save just one the world's a better place.

Many Regards and seasonal greetings all. Thanks as always for all the help and advice.
Have a wonderful few days!
Chris
