Perform CLL centre size ??????>

Hi to everyone,
i'm a total newbie to wood turning & will quite likely have lots of questions . But to start, i have brought a Perform CCL lathe & would like to buy a center for the chuck end & getting a little confused on the size of the internal drive shaft/bore. The chuck is a 1" & i think the internal bore is a 7/8" but i get the impression some places are trying to sell me 1" ones. Can anyone say what the Perform is & any recommendations for a center similar to "Steb Drive Centre Sprung Point & 25mm multi toothed edge"

For the headstock end, you need a MT2 drive centre.

The steb type are available here. http://www.chronos.ltd.uk/acatalog/SCT- ... s-etc.html

if you look for MT2, then any other sizes listed will be the head size, although I think Chronos only offer the 1". If you need smaller, you could get the MT1 and an adaptor- I have done this for my lathe for turning small items.
