For a project I have been working on mainly to amuse and score points with the grandchildren I have been buying tubs of painted wooden cubes ie.small building blocks.
They are cheap enough but the range of colours is limited and I was wondering how you would go about painting solid 25mm wooden cubes and what paint would you use.
Thanks in advance.

I'd knock some panel pins into a scrap board so that each block could be held up off the surface, with several sides showing. I'd then use cans of spray paint (eg as sold for cars) to go over several at once. Wait for them to dry, turn them over and repeat.

With these being quite small blocks, I assume the grandchildren are past the stage of actively chewing them and would expect that any ordinary paint currently on sale will be non-toxic enough once it has cured.

Thanks for the reply.
The bed of nails idea is a good one that I will have a go at over the weekend.
The grand children are over the have to put it in your mouth stage but are now at the stage where they think that grandad can disappear to the workshop for a while and produce the next interesting item.
It's handy really because the OH thinks these things take a while to produce but it is easy and it gives me more workshop time to also do other things.
