Hah! fooled you, its a box owl.
8" high.
Zebrano, beech, and maple for the eye patch. Eyes are disposable contact lens case dipped in black paint. Beak is rosewood also dipped in black.
Boxes are flocked in dark blue.

I think that's awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The drawers look almost a hidden bonus. It'd look fantastic even if it wasn't a box. Hope you're gonna keep that one for yourself.

That is charming Bob, but you should probably be burned in effigy for painting rosewood

I have about 20 kgs of rosewood scraps, and I mean scraps. Bits so small and odd shaped that I cant even make a puzzle out of because its too puzzling for me.
So dont fret too much, theres a good boy. 8)

I normally use rosewood in much more respectful way, like on these serviette holders

Coley, the sideboard is getting rather full, something will have to go soon.
I dont "make to sell", but sometimes people ask to buy them and who am I to refuse folding paper?

The mrs really likes the owl, even though I made it after a suggestion from someone who wanted to buy an owl box, so I suspect it will stay alongside the butterfly box.

By the way, has anyone heard from alexam lately? Hope he's not another one who's upped stix and decamped in a marked manner after the forum change.
