Having previously used a Vicmarc chuck with shark jaws, I would appreciate comment from anybody who owns/uses the Charnwood 'ripple' jaws (for their Viper and Nexus chucks).
I'm particularly interested to learn if the dovetail profile on the end of these 'ripple' jaws is machined to a 'crisp' finish (as opposed to chamfered/rounded). I'm only asking because I need to re-chuck a small (Raffan-inspired) box lid that was originally turned on a Vicmarc chuck with shark jaws and I'm considering purchasing a set of 'ripple' jaws, but I need a 'crisp' edge to the dovetail as the chucking profile in the box lid is small.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
