Old crown/record lathe

I am new to woodturning and have recently bought an old blue crown/record twin bar lathe. Needs cleaning up a bit and the motor capacitor wiring insulation has rotted away, making it a wee bit dangerous. I have been looking around for a replacement motor (1/3 HP). Can anybody tell me if the induction motors sold by Clarke are any good or are there better or cheaper alternatives available?

They're probably not the best, but I believe they're Ok. Go for a half HP (or even a three quarter) rather than a third, though.

Could you not just replace/re-sleeve the capacitor wiring?
