Can anyone tell me if this is a decent quote, my initial reaction is my pants are being pulled down a bit

2 meter lengths, width of 150mm and about 38mm thick

Oak is £45+vat per board
Beech is £30+vat per board

Thanks in advance

It would help if you tell if the boards are rough sawn or planed sizes and which grade you are looking for. I do buy oak but never beech so can only help by giving a partial answer.
Mike.

I've just had a quote of £13.68 inc vat for 4x1 2.4m length Oak sawn. Not sure of quality / drying, but will be visiting on Saturday. Works out at £5.70 /m from local timber merchant on South / West yorkshire border.

Quote was for prime european oak, KD and just sawn.

Ive managed to source it a bit closer and much cheaper now

fezman as long as its not your business I cant imagine any rules are being broken by sharing a supplier
