Don't go back when July is over. I've been off the poison since about July 1985 :)

Odd Pete, I just purchased 3 cartons of beer at local supermarket first since December as it was on special offer.

I hope it's ok to post this...

I've decided to take a month off alcohol and am doing it in aid of a local (to me in New Zealand) cancer charity.
If you would like to sponsor me my page is here: https://nz.dryjuly.com/participant?p=peterdrake.

Thanks!

It is very kind and charitable of you to donate what you save to the charity of your choice. However to seek sponsorship from others to do something of your own choice that is for your own benefit is not charitable at all.

I can't see how that was for the OP's own benefit. If you'd like to recommend a worthy charity, I'll keep you happy by refusing to give money to it.
