I was interested in the 'tote' horn repair on that site, as whaddyah know, I just bought a Stanley, late 19th. century No. 5 from "Bayside" myself. That has a slight chip on the tote-horn.

All I need now is an offcut of rosewood, but I'll probably use some walnut instead.

Together with ALF's methods of making handles for old chisels, (although I like a copper ferrule on mine) I am now well-armed to resuscitate some old tools!
