45mm goblet.jpg

I make a lot of goblets and when, as happens, the stem snaps or the foot shatters I save the top section and have a box of them. The bowl part is hazel, he stem of the goblet is an offcut of oak that has been ebonised with lemon juice, the foot is a scrap of hawthorn from another box. It is 18" (460mm) tall and the goblet and foot are approx 2 3/4" (75mm) diameter, the stem is 4mm diameter.
Comments critique etc welcome as always.

Do you provide a "Highball" recipe with each of them Pete?

Waste-not-want-not and all that, good salvage of the components.
Despite the slim line look it still presents as balanced.

Thanks Chas and Greg.
Not sure how easy it would be to drink from LOL. Might be a bit of dribbling.
I hold the spindle in a chuck with the tail stock brought up just to keep the spindle from flaying about. No pressure or it bends. I have dione longer spinfdles this diameter by feeding them through the chuck a bit at a time.
