More practice on firewood...

Hi all

Some more oak pieces (not spalted this time) but a nice hue of pink in places...more free firewood so able to do more practice. Both pieces had splits in but one more severe than the other...

they are nice looking bowls you have turned.
i must admit i prefer bowls with a "chunkier" look to them rather than the thin walled ones.
i think the shape also suits the pieces of timber you selected / rescued.

Cheers, Paul. I love the chunky heft of these bowls - wood still quite wet and the small cracks are opening up now they are inside...still, they were mostly for practice and were free...
