Has anyone tried MDF 4mm for scrolling. I have it is very good but dusty. 8x4x 4mm £8-£10 per sheet where i live in Durham.

I cut some of my reindeer in 12mm stuff last year I didn't have dust extraction then , I don't know if you have a good dust extraction system if you haven't I would keep well clear , yes it cuts really well a scrollers dream no knots no infill
but the dust is awful it gets right in your skin eyes nose everywhere , I have a good dust extraction set up now but I still wouldn't use it again for regular work , I make the odd template with it for my router , you be better with birch ply more expensive but worth it

I still wear a mask even though I have dust extraction because no system is 100 % efficient , for me no matter what the wood I still wear a mask its not a case of only needing for mdf but some people may differ on here

then again its your lungs eyes nose and skin so its entirely up to you mate
