Can anybody please tell me the approximate dimension from the extreme rear of the machine to the front of the handle when the blade is closest to the fence :?:

Hi Hemsby. Artie was asking something similar in this thread to which I replied: replacement-for-ls-1040-t88303-15.html

In short; the rear overhang measured from the front of the fence to the extreme back of the sliding bar retainer (the part of the saw that overhangs most) is 2' when the saw is pushed all the way through.

Thanks for that, exactly what I needed to know, struggled on the phone today with Makita and received varying information from #-o
 
Not worries mate. FWIW I think it's an excellent saw. Very accurate with great capacity.
